What we do

Transport, haulage,earthworks,mechanical.

A Main Roads accredited enterprise running a fleet from skid steer loaders to dump trucks, working in the agricultural, civil and mining sectors. Specialising in flood damage road repairs and mining earthworks.

Transport

Getting plant and material to jobs that are a long way from anywhere.

Most of the work is remote. Plant, crew and material have to get out there and keep working once they arrive, which is why transport sits at the front of the name.

  • Bulk transportation
  • Dump truck works

Haulage

Moving material in volume, on haul roads THEM usually built themselves.

Gravel out of pits, spoil off a site, rock to an armouring face. The fleet runs from skid steer loaders up to dump trucks, so the same contractor can win the pit and cart from it.

Earthworks

The bulk of it. Clearing, excavation, grading, sheeting, rock armouring, dams.

Flood damage road repairs and mining earthworks are the two specialisations THEM name themselves. Everything from opening a gravel pit to final trim grading ahead of asphalt.

  • Clearing
  • Demolition
  • Excavation, including rock breaker and crusher
  • Mining earthworks
  • Agricultural earthworks
  • Rock armouring
  • Dam and water body construction and restoration
  • Maintenance grading
  • Road sheeting
  • Final trim grading
  • Asphalt preparation works
  • Dozer works
  • Roller works

Mechanical

Their own maintenance, run by a director who started as a heavy duty diesel mechanic.

Stephen O’Brien began as a heavy duty diesel mechanic and still holds the maintenance side of the business. That matters most on the jobs that are furthest from a workshop.

Sectors

Agricultural, civil and mining.

The same fleet and the same crews work across all three. A farm dam, a shire road resheet and a mine site bulk earthworks package are different jobs with the same underlying problem: getting plant and people to remote ground and keeping them productive once they are there.
